Recently, the 105 MW compressed air energy storage motor generator independently developed by Dongfang Electric, a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Group, has completed a one-time type test. The core technical indicators of the product have reached the industry-leading level, marking the success of the development of the motor generator.

This motor generator is the first air energy storage field motor generator independently developed by Dongfang Electric, with a single unit capacity of 105 MW and a rated voltage of 15.75 kV, the speed is 3000 revolutions per minute, and the motor efficiency is optimal in the current domestic unit of the same capacity.

the motor generator adopts a two-end drive double-shaft extension structure, breaking the split structure of the traditional energy storage power station "generator motor" and realizing two-way energy conversion on a single machine. The new electromagnetic design and global ventilation optimization technical route are adopted to minimize the energy conversion loss. Through precise calculation and structural optimization, the measured vibration values of each bearing shaft of the unit are less than 40 microns, which is far lower than the national standard requirements, it ensures the "one-time success" of the whole process from the overspeed test to the test run of the whole machine, and overcomes the industry problem of the stability of the ultra-long overhanging double-ended drive shaft system.
