Shangyi Pumped Storage Power Station Unit 1 First Pumping Test Successfully

On March 25, the pumping operation of Unit 1 of Shangyi Pumped Storage Power Station under "pump working condition" was a complete success, and pumping water from the upper reservoir began. It took 12 hours and 40 minutes to successfully pump the water level to the 1364.00 elevation, laying a solid foundation for the first unit to be put into operation on schedule.

The purpose of this test is to check whether the conversion procedure is correct and to verify whether the unit can successfully pump water at the set initial opening of the guide vane at low lift, at the same time, according to the data provided by the manufacturer, check and adjust the ball valve and guide vane opening point, guide vane opening rate, verify the primary and secondary splashing power, and adjust the exhaust valve opening time and the unit sequence control process step parameters.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the pumping test, the project department has formulated a special emergency plan for the problems that may occur during the commissioning process. During the test, the test personnel of the project department organized carefully, commanded uniformly, strictly monitored the operation data throughout the process, and completed all test projects with high standards and high quality. After the unit is connected to the grid for the first time, it realizes long-term continuous pumping operation, and the working conditions of each part are stable and there is no abnormal situation, which lays a solid foundation for the unit to be put into trial operation on schedule.

At present, the project has completed the commissioning of the first unit division and plans to put the first unit into commercial operation by the end of April. After the power station is put into operation, it can save about 150000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 400000 tons each year, which plays an important role in optimizing the energy structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, ensuring the stable operation of the power grid, and promoting the consumption of new energy.
