Jingke Energy Money Crystal: Data Center Photovoltaic is an Important Path to Calculate Electricity Synergy

Recently, the 2026 China Development Forum was held in Beijing. During the forum, Qian Jing, vice president of Jingke Energy, said in an interview with First Financial Reporters that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, artificial intelligence will be deeply bound with photovoltaics , and land and space artificial intelligence data centers will become the largest application scenario in the industry in the future.

Qian Jing pointed out that space photovoltaic is still in its early stages, but a larger and more likely market is the land data center . Global data center power consumption will reach 480 TWh in 2025, with AI data center power consumption exceeding half for the first time, so this market space is huge.

in the next five years, even more advanced chips and large models will be empty shells and cannot be enabled if they are not supported by computing power. Therefore, the ultimate of computing power and algorithm is electricity . Therefore, electricity, especially green electricity , is the core element that supports the sustainable development of AI.

In terms of meeting the power demand of AI development, Qian Jing believes that photovoltaics will play the most important role, even the optimal solution. She cited three reasons: first, the cost advantage of photovoltaic is obvious . at present, the cost of photovoltaic power generation in more than 95% of the world is lower than that of coal power and natural gas power generation. Second, technology is mature and deployment is rapid . it only takes three to six months for a power station to be built to be connected to the grid, and flexible and efficient deployment can be realized regardless of scale. Third, Photovoltaic has a unique advantage of being distributed , unlike nuclear power, thermal power, hydropower and even wind power, which are subject to geographical restrictions and require centralized power generation and long-distance transmission and distribution, photovoltaics can achieve spontaneous self-use and localized supply.

With the expansion of energy storage scale and the increasing maturity of technologies such as virtual power plants, smart grids, and demand-side response, Qian Jing believes that optical storage systems can provide data centers with stable , green , low cost power guarantee. "In the future, it is not only the scale of computing power and model parameters that determine the competitiveness of AI enterprises, but also the cost of obtaining electricity and the proportion of green electricity used. This will become the core element of the competitiveness of enterprises."
