Beijing, March 24 (PRNewswire)-At the dock of a shipyard base in Longkou City, eastern China, the dual-fuel-powered vehicle carrier "H580 ECO STAR", which can carry 7000 vehicles, has recently completed a period of time. After a four-day trial voyage, it berthed smoothly.
The ship was built by Yantai CIMC Raffles Marine Technology Group (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC Raffles Group"). During the trial voyage, the durability of the main engine, navigation speed, anchoring operation and UAV cabin were comprehensively tested. According to Jin Fujun, head of the Raffles H580 project in Longkou CIMC, this trial successfully achieved all the test targets set by the large car carrier.
"H580 ECO STAR" is 199.9 meters long, 38 meters wide and has a design speed of 19 knots. This is the third ship of its kind delivered by CIMC Raffles for the Greek shipping company Atlas Maritime. The ship is equipped with a customized fire-fighting system and dual-fuel power, which not only achieves zero carbon emissions for port operations, but also has DNV ammonia fuel readiness standards and meets F(EV) related requirements, meeting various indicators of green shipping.
As the landmark achievement of the "Made in Longkou" ship, the "H580 ECO STAR" is expected to contribute to the development of global low-carbon and green shipping.
