NeuEN Green Energy Ushers in Key Leap: Supply of 10000 Tons of Green Hydrogen to Numaligar Refinery

NeuEN Green Energy Limited (NeuEN) is a joint venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation of India (BPCL) and Sengko Green Hydrogen Energy India Pte Ltd. Recently, the company was awarded a contract to supply 10000 tons of green hydrogen per year to Numaligar Refinery Limited (NRL).

The move is seen as an important milestone in the drive to decarbonise industry. The project is scheduled to start commercial operations in 2028, with the main task of building a green hydrogen production facility at the NRL plant in Assam, India. In order to ensure the stability and reliability of the operation, the project adopts a long-term off-take agreement model and integrates renewable energy with cutting-edge energy storage technology.

Senior executives of both companies pointed out that this cooperation has important strategic significance and far-reaching impact. The move demonstrates both parties' commitment to India's green hydrogen development goals and their determination to contribute to a sustainable, low-carbon energy future.
