on January 4, 2026, with the successful closing of the 101 circuit breaker of the 110kV strict second storage line of the zhongning upper storage huayan second energy storage power station, the power transmission of the no. 1 main transformer was successful once, marking the formal grid-connection and operation of the upper storage energy 100MW/200MWh shared energy storage power station. The project is located in the industrial park of Zhongning County, Ningxia. It is a key part of the large-scale energy storage layout of Ningxia power grid. the project adopts lithium iron phosphate battery system and is equipped with 30 sets of energy storage units. after converging through 4 35kV collector lines, it is boosted by the newly-built 110kV booster station and finally connected to 330kV huayan substation with one 110kV line. The power station has an energy storage capacity of 200MWh, which is equivalent to a medium-sized "power granary". It can release electricity at peak power consumption, store electricity when new energy power generation is abundant, effectively stabilize the volatility of wind and solar power generation, and improve the flexibility of power grid operation and clean energy utilization.
