Jingke Energy Storage Attends GBA 2025 Annual Conference: Defining Responsible Energy Storage with "Full Life Cycle Safety"

Recently, the Global Battery Alliance (GBA) annual event was held in Brussels, Belgium. In the context of the global energy transition into a critical integration period, JinkoSolar, as the world's leading green energy company, was invited to attend this conference with the theme of "Driving Growth: Building Trust in a Rapidly Evolving Battery Ecology and Promoting Global Market Development. During the two-day agenda, Jingke representatives deeply participated in the dialogue on the future of energy storage systems, sharing forward-looking practical experience on core issues such as security governance, data transparency and industrial chain collaboration.

In response to the current security challenges facing the energy storage industry, Jingke proposed the underlying logic of" design for failure "at the meeting. Jingke believes that in the long-term life cycle of the system, the core level failure has objective inevitability, so the focus of system design should be changed from the simple pursuit of normal operation to the strict prevention and automatic isolation of fault spread. True intrinsic safety should put "control and containment" above "availability", and by establishing an automatic linkage strategy that does not rely on human intervention, the monitoring system can trigger shutdown or derating operation at the moment of early warning. At the same time, Jingke advocates that safety planning should cross the boundary of the station, put sustainability and safety on the same level through transparent communication and linkage with the community and emergency departments, and assume the full life cycle responsibility including environmental impact management and terminal recycling and disposal.

In terms of promoting industry transparency and credibility, Jinko emphasized that the establishment of a standardized data sharing platform has become a top priority. As the relevant deadline of the battery passport approaches, the disclosure should not only stay at the surface of the system performance, but also go deep into the thermal runaway test, attenuation characteristics, life cycle carbon footprint and traceability data at the cell level. Jingke advocates linking this transparency to the depth of market incentives, and guiding enterprises from "black box assumptions" to data-driven rational decision-making by providing financing facilities, insurance concessions and priority approval rights for low-risk, high-transparency projects. This approach can not only guide the industry to longer-lived and lower-impact solutions, but also form consensus in the short term, transforming sustainability from a brand slogan into a real business competitive advantage.

as the core link of this conference, the platform value of the global battery alliance (GBA) has been highly recognized by the participants. Since its incubation by the World Economic Forum in 2017, GBA has developed into an influential collaboration platform in the global battery value chain. By focusing on battery passports, critical materials, energy access and circularity, GBA successfully guides member companies to achieve common goals in circular economy, environmental protection and sustainable development. Its greenhouse gas rulebook and battery passport system have become the industry's recognized green standards, providing fair and sustainable energy access paths for the world, especially emerging markets.

Cheng Quan, head of JinkoSolar Energy Storage Business and Sustainability, said: "GBA's most unique contribution is that as a neutral and non-competitive field, it can reconnect the originally broken links such as battery manufacturing, system integration, finance and insurance and recycling. By establishing a unified "responsible energy storage" language system, GBA not only promotes the structured flow of security experience and data on the premise of protecting the core competitiveness of enterprises, but also enables industry participants to align value goals while pursuing technological innovation. In the future, Jingke will continue to deepen its collaboration with GBA, with technological innovation and rule building as a two-wheel drive, injecting more credible forces into the healthy development of the global battery ecosystem."
