Hebei Yanzhao Xingtai Energy Storage Phase II Project Successfully Connected to the Grid and Sent Power Back on First Attempt

As the year draws to a close, another piece of good news has emerged from the Yanzhao Xingtai energy storage project construction. At 19:20 on December 30, 2025, upon issuance of the dispatch command, the 85 MW/170 MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage project—the second phase of Hebei Yanzhao Xingtai Energy Storage Company’s grid-side independent energy storage power station—was successfully connected to the grid and began reverse power transmission on the first attempt. All parameters were within normal ranges, the system operated stably, and the predetermined goal of “grid connection and operation before the end of the year” was achieved. From the formal signing of the EPC contract and the commencement of construction on October 15, 2025, through to the achievement of grid connection and power backfeed, the project was completed in just 78 days, significantly ahead of the industry average construction timeline.

Since the project’s commencement, the State Grid Corporation of China Power Generation Energy Storage Project Task Force and its various working groups, in close collaboration with all participating construction units, have been rigorously aligned with project requirements and steadfastly focused on achieving the established objectives. By strengthening schedule assurance, enforcing quality standards, and making every effort to resolve bottlenecks and challenges throughout the construction process, they are advancing the project comprehensively, safely, and to high standards, ensuring timely commissioning and operation.

The successful grid connection and operation of this project signify that Yan Zhao Xingtai Energy Storage Company has reached a new milestone in large-scale energy storage deployment and renewable energy integration. It has not only enhanced the regional power grid’s flexibility in regulation and power supply reliability, but also accumulated valuable experience and laid a solid foundation for the company’s future large-scale energy storage projects and the development of a new type of power system dominated by renewable energy.

Going forward, the company will continue to deepen its presence in the new energy sector, facilitate the implementation of more high-quality energy storage projects, and contribute to the transformation of the energy mix and the achievement of the “dual carbon” goals.
