According to publicly available information, the project is located in the Naomao Lake Area of Yiwu County, Hami City, Xinjiang. It integrates upstream hydrogen resources and involves the construction of a dedicated hydrogen production plant and two hydrogen refueling stations, covering a total site area of approximately 19,500 square meters. The green hydrogen plant is designed with a capacity of 2 × 25 tonnes per day. The hydrogen produced on the production line meets the national standard for hydrogen fuel cell applications, thereby satisfying the high-end requirements of hydrogen fuel cells, chemical feedstocks, and other advanced industries. This establishes an integrated, end-to-end industrial chain encompassing production, storage, transportation, and management. It can meet the hydrogen-fueling needs of fuel-cell vehicles in the surrounding area. Once completed, the project will be of great significance for advancing the hydrogen-energy industry and achieving China’s “dual carbon” goals. Looking back at the development of large-scale hydrogen refueling stations in China, prior to this, the largest operational station in the country was the Hypec hydrogen refueling station located in the Beijing Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone. The station is equipped with eight hydrogen fueling machines and 16 dispensers, enabling simultaneous refueling for up to 16 fuel cell vehicles. Its maximum daily hydrogen throughput is 4.8 metric tons.
