Recently, a battery plant at a photovoltaic base notified employees hired in 2021, 2022, and 2023 that production would be suspended and they would be placed on leave. The notice stated that, due to technical upgrades, all relevant staff at the battery plant and its supporting departments would be on leave for five months, from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. During the leave period, only the minimum wage would be paid, with no allowances; however, contributions to the five social insurance schemes and the housing provident fund would continue as usual. Employees are required to keep their communication channels open and are prohibited from entering the factory premises without authorization.
