Currently, the value structure of photovoltaic power plants is undergoing a significant transformation, with overall system performance and long-term financial returns emerging as key evaluation metrics. In response to this trend, JA Solar has launched the DeepBlue 5.0 module, which integrates multiple core technologies. Leveraging its “five-in-one multi-busbar technology” to enhance wafer uniformity, and combining it with an improved passivated contact n-type cell architecture along with sophisticated optical and electrical design, the module achieves a power output that is 20–25W higher than the previous generation, while reducing the linear degradation rate by 0.05% per year. In terms of module integration, DeepBlue 5.0 leverages four core technologies—Zero-Gap Flexible Interconnection (GFI), High-Density Packaging (HDP), Composite Structure Enhancement (CSE), and Ultra-Transparent Material Optimization (UTM)—to establish a comprehensive performance moat. In terms of product performance, the DeepBlue 5.0 module delivers a maximum output power of up to 670W and a conversion efficiency of 24.8%, while also boasting several outstanding performance metrics: an annual linear degradation rate of just 0.35%, a temperature coefficient of −0.26%/°C, a bifaciality of 85%, and reliable performance under low-light conditions and in complex shading environments. These characteristics translate directly into higher power generation yields and lower system costs. In practical applications, compared with conventional n-type TOPCon modules, first-year power generation can increase by 0.96% to 2.08%, BOS costs can be reduced by 1.27% to 2.48%, and the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) can decline by 0.61% to 3.84%.

Of particular note is its circuit design: the multi-module architecture effectively mitigates the impact of partial shading on overall power generation. Empirical data show that, under shaded conditions, this module’s power generation performance is 34% higher than that of conventional half-cell modules, with a 2.5% increase in total lifetime energy output. This significantly enhances the operational stability and efficiency of solar power plants. Against the backdrop of a profound restructuring in the photovoltaic industry, JA Solar has demonstrated its ongoing innovation in TOPCon technology and its ability to unlock systemic value through the launch of DeepBlue 5.0. This product not only meets the market’s demand for high-efficiency, reliable modules, but also offers a new technological pathway to optimize the full-lifecycle value of photovoltaic power plants.
