The aggregate processing system at the Huanglong Pumped Storage Hydropower Station in Gansu Province successfully completed single-unit commissioning on the first attempt.

On December 30, the sand and gravel processing system for the lower reservoir at the Huanglong Pumped Storage Hydropower Station in Gansu Province, constructed by the Green Building Materials Center of the Tunneling Engineering Company, successfully completed its single-unit commissioning on the first attempt. This milestone marks a crucial step toward the system’s official commissioning and operation.

The aggregate processing plant uses gneiss as its feed material. It has a raw-material handling capacity of 330 tonnes per hour and a finished-product handling capacity of 264 tonnes per hour, enabling a reliable supply of high-quality construction aggregates. During the construction phase, confronted with a relatively harsh natural environment and stringent safety and civilized-construction standards, the Green Building Materials Center’s project team rose to the challenge and advanced the work with high efficiency. In just over one month, they successfully completed the entire construction process—from site mobilization and equipment installation to individual unit commissioning. As a key energy project under the nation’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the Huanglong Pumped-Storage Hydropower Station in Gansu Province holds significant strategic importance for optimizing the regional energy mix and ensuring a stable power supply. The successful single-unit commissioning of the aggregate-processing system at the station’s lower reservoir will inject crucial momentum into the overall project advancement. The Green Building Materials Center of the Tunneling Engineering Company will promptly organize project post-mortems and knowledge-sharing sessions, thoroughly identify key achievements and technical insights, fully leverage its core strengths, and demonstrate its professional expertise and efficient contract performance capabilities.
