The 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage power station project in Qinghe, Hebei Province has successfully been connected to the grid.

At 19:00 on February 30, the Qinghe Ruizhu 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage power station project—the key initiative for building a new power system in Qinghe County, Hebei Province—successfully achieved full-capacity grid connection at the “1230” milestone. This marks that the project’s core systems are now ready for operation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent grid integration and commercial operation. The project has a total energy storage capacity of 200MWh and plays a crucial role in integrating renewable energy generation, as well as providing grid frequency and load balancing services. Once commissioned, it will be capable of handling 47,520 MWh of charge–discharge cycles annually, effectively smoothing out the variability of wind and solar power output and enhancing the regional power grid’s flexibility, reliability, and operational stability. During the project construction phase, the team encountered multiple challenges, including stringent technical standards, complex system integration, and the difficulty of commissioning in low winter temperatures. To ensure the smooth achievement of the grid-connection target, the project team established a dedicated technical task force, developed a specialized winter-construction plan, optimized the equipment installation and commissioning procedures, and strengthened safety and quality control across the entire project lifecycle. All construction personnel worked around the clock with precision and determination, successfully completing key tasks such as battery module installation, PCS inverter commissioning, and high-voltage system integration. They also overcame technical challenges related to equipment operational stability in low-temperature environments, ultimately achieving grid connection on schedule.
